Pledge a "per-mile" donation, and follow my backpacking trips throughout Yosemite's wilderness. 100% of donation go directly to the Ama Foundation; supporting poor and abandoned children by providing not only access to education and healthy food, but a childhood and a family at their children's home in the village of Taukhel, Nepal. Each trip will be photo-documented, and my routes outlined. So, whether you want to help fund the Ama Foundation, support my project, or just have an interest in an insider's knowledge of Yosemite, Hands Across Mountains will interest you. MY summer mileage total and YOUR per-mile pledge will determine the amount of your end-of-summer donation to the Ama Foundation.

My name is Adam Dickenson. I grew up in Napa Valley, California, and studied Environmental Science at UC Davis. I spent summers of college living in the Sierras and working for the California Alumni Association's Lair of the Bear. Currently I live in El Portal, Ca and work as a Biological Science Technician for the National Park Service in Yosemite. In my off time, I travel, hike, write, & aspire to be a good person. I'm not sure what I want to be when I grow up... I think I'll figure it out then.
